Heat oven to 375°F. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.

Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in flour mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator 15-20 minutes. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Or use a #60 cookie scoop.

Bake 10 minutes. Cool on pan 5 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
